The Java Fern (Aquatic Plants)

The java fern is an aquatic fern (family: Polypodiaceae) found in the regions of Southeast Asia. They are salty in nature and grow in a sluggish pace. They spread by propelling shoots and are reproduced by peewee adventitious plants forming on older leaves. They have a relatively bitter taste and hence fish are not harmful to it. They survive in relatively low temperatures and neutral pH


Water Sprite (Aquatic Plants)

Water sprites belong to the family of Parkeriaceae; they are beautiful plants, have different dimensions and are usually rooted in mud. They are pan-tropical plants and grow rapidly when given high light intensities. Also known as water ferns, they are used for decoration or eaten as a vegetable, however they have been reported as cancerous. They display immense seasonality and grow from spores.


Malayan Aqua Fern (Aquatic Plants)

Found in tropical areas the Malayan Fern is a beautiful amphibious fern that grows fast in nominal light and faintly acidic conditions. Their rhizomes are affixed to woods near the periphery of streams and their roots are slightly embedded into the surface. They grow up to a feet and disseminate their shoots which further grow into smaller ferns.


Crystalwort / Floating Liverwort. (Aquatic Plants)

Crystalwort is common in almost everywhere in the world. It has beneficial properties because it keeps algae levels low in the water and when provided with sufficient nutrients, it increases the amount of dissolved oxygen in the water. Crystalwort grows on the surface and forms a dense green layer under bright light. Because of its meshed structure, it is prone to entangle rubbish. It grows in neutral pH and room temperature.


Angelfish (Saltwater Fish)

Angelfish has vibrant neon blue, iridescent purple, orange and yellow markings on the body. It is not very social and hides away in the reef though larger angelfishes are very bold and seemingly fearless. It belongs to the family "Pomacanthidae." They live mostly in the Atlantic, Indian and western Pacific oceans. An average Angelfish grows to a length of 20 to 30 cm.


Griffis’ Angelfish (Saltwater Fish)

This fish is a bit plainer than any other Angelfish being mostly of grayish white with an oblique black band. This rare and exotic fish is very conspicuous and makes a marine aquarium pet. Griffis is a member of the ‘Holacanthus" genera. It takes all varieties of food. It grows up to 25 cm in length but the most available grows up to 17 cm.


Three-spot Angelfish (Saltwater Fish)

Three-spot Angelfish has three spots, two lateral spots and one at the forehead. It is moderately hard to keep and it should be offered a much variety of food. These are peaceful in aquarium. It is found in Indo-Australian Archipelago, the Philippines and in the Indian Ocean to the African Coast. Three-spot Angelfish grows to a size of 15 cm in length.


Gold-spangled Angelfish (Saltwater Fish)

Gold-spangled Angelfish has a bright yellow color body with black fins. It belongs to the family "Pomacanthidae." It is almost unknown to the aquarium hobby. It is very rarely kept and is very difficult to keep. Gold-spangled Angelfish feed on all kinds of live, frozen and prepared formula foods. It is found only in the Line and eastern Caroline islands. It grows to a size of 25.4 cm.


Indian Yellow-Tail Angelfish (Saltwater Fish)

Indian Yellow-Tail Angelfish has a subtle beauty with beautiful eyes. It is moderately difficult to keep. It belongs to the family "Pomacanthidae." It can be found singly, in pairs or in small groups. Indian Yellow-Tail Angelfish feeds on all kinds of live, frozen and prepared formula foods. It is found in the western Indian Ocean around Mauritius and Sri Lanka.


Pygmy Angelfish ~ Cherubfish (Saltwater Fish)

Pygmy Angelfish ~ Cherubfish is a beautiful little fish with purple and blue bodies and a yellow face with blue rings round the eyes. It is inexpensive and fairly easy to keep. It belongs to the family "Pomacanthidae." This fish is a good eater of all kinds of foods. It is a saltwater fish and grazes on hair algae on live rocks.
