The juvenile stage of the engineer goby closely resembles the appearance of an eel catfish. They are very hardy and rarely get affected by any sort of disease or bad water conditions. |

These are also known by the name of “Fire dart fish”. The head of this fish is yellow in color. But the frontal part of their body is white which becomes pinkish and gradually the posterior part of their body turns orangish red. They are most commonly found in groups.
